William Bertram’s magnificent, but highly controversial, development is just a stone’s throw from Bath’s famous Royal Crescent and contains 20 luxury apartments in a neo-classical mansion set in landscaped grounds. Bertram, who has worked as architect to the Prince of Wales and the Duchy of Cornwall for many years, fought long and hard to overcome resistance from a number of conservation groups opposed to the project.
